Angel Tragedy Avoidable

The Los Angeles Angel Pitcher Nick Ardenhart and two friends are now with the angels forever thanks to a repeat DWI offender. This was no accident. It was murder.

When will innocent people be protected against repeat scofflaws who kill and maim(greater than 13,000 last year).

When the law will demand that all repeat offenders, as well as, those who drive unlicensed, must have an ignition interlock device(IID) installed in his/her car. The driver has to breath into the IID before starting the car. Any alcohol greater than .02 will kill the ignition. A simple device like this could have saved three lives, the injury of a 4th person and the anguish and trauma of the Ardenhart family. Why isn’t this law for the IID in place in California?

Until all the states change their direction on D.W.I. this will continue.
People have to write their representatives and raise a stink higher than Mt. McKinley.People complain in the blogs that something should be done but they dont let those in power know their feelings.
What needs to be done is Organisation by R.I.D. / M.A.D.D / S.A.D.D. and other anti D.W.I. factors to do the biggest mail in the State(s) have ever dealt with. Homicide by D.W.I. is Americas only socially acceptable crime of violence, let’s all do the right thing, let our words/ voices be heard as other groups have done.

    Continued.

Interlocks are OK by me, BUT when they are mandated. Drunks will then lease or rent a vehicle .Any conditional or hardship license must marked in bright letters as a convicted drunk driver, why in order for them not to be able to rent, lease any motor vehicle, and anyone who KNOWINGLY rents, leases a Vehicle for the use by a Convicted drunk to be arrested for Facilitating as in Facilitating unlicensed operation.
